black history month campaign

In past years we’ve celebrated the legacy of those who have gone before us and the contribution they’ve made to the UK, the church, families, sectors, etc. In 2023 we focused on ‘Legacy Builders’, highlighting the unique experiences of first-generation immigrants and their children. Their stories all being our collective story.
For the 2024 campaign we wanted to celebrate all that our young people are achieving after building on the legacy their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents have created. The plan was to create a ‘multi-generational celebration’ of being Black and mixed-heritage across October. The hope was to go much younger, celebrate what young people from kids- teens-twenties-thirties and those ‘young’ at heart, love about being black and mixed- heritage, their giftedness, and their hopes for society and the church.
